GRATIOT COUNTY — Early in-person voting for the Nov. 3 general election is open at the Gratiot County Commission on Aging, 515 S. Pine River St., Ithaca. The county runs one joint early voting site for all of its cities and townships, so every registered voter in the county can vote there.
Hours
- Saturday, Oct. 24 and Sunday, Oct. 25: noon to 8 p.m.
- Monday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 1: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Early voting ends Sunday, Nov. 1. On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls at your regular precinct are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The hours above are the ones posted by the City of St. Louis clerk and the City of Alma.
What to bring
A driver’s license or other photo ID makes check-in faster. Under Michigan election law (MCL 168.523), a registered voter who does not have ID can sign an affidavit and vote a regular ballot.
What is on the ballot
Statewide races and proposals share the ballot with local questions, including the Alma library millage, a county-wide transit millage, school board races and several school bond and operating millage questions that reach into parts of the county. Our ballot guide lists the local questions with links to our earlier reports. Your exact ballot depends on where you live; preview it at the Michigan Voter Information Center.
Questions
Questions about registration or your ballot go to your city or township clerk, or the Gratiot County Clerk’s office at 989-875-5215.
