Share a Report
Know someone who does not see local government news? Post a report where they will see it. Everything here is free to use, and none of it asks anyone for money.
Post a report
The usual way is the Share button on a report. If you would rather post a picture, each recent report has a square card: its headline, the words “Free to read. Sources linked.” and our name. Tap a card to download it, and put the report’s link in your post so people can read the sources.
All reports, by topic · cards for older reports are at /assets/share-card/<report-address>.jpg
Sharing well
- Share the link, not an old screenshot. If a report is updated or corrected, the link shows it; a screenshot does not. Updates are on the corrections and updates log.
- Follow the rules of the group or page you post in. If it does not allow links or news, do not post it there.
- Do not add claims the report does not make. If you are not sure what a report says, the “What we know / What we don’t know yet” box near the top of most reports lists both.
- Want a question answered? Ask us. We look in the public records and publish what we find, including when the record does not say.
- Prefer a single file? Our newspaper edition is a free PDF you can read on a phone.
